For centuries people have been heating their homes and businesses with traditional methods such as oil, wood and coal. However, as we have used these materials, it has had an impact on the environment. Because of using wood to heat, we have cut down trees. Solar power uses the rays of the sun to be converted to heat, lights and other forms of energy. The energy produced by the sun is collected, and then stored until needed. From that point, the solar power is converted into energy that can be used by consumers or businesses. And, since the sun is a reusable resource, solar power is an ideal source of energy.
