General Information

1. Freight Terms: No freight allowed.

2. Underwriters’ Laboratories Classification:

Industrial Panel Filters are classified U.L. Class 2. Testing was performed according to U.L. Standard 900 and CAN4-S111.

3. Filter Dimensions:

The actual face dimensions of standard & special filters have a tolerance of ±1/8” and a tolerance of ±1/16” for the thickness.

4. Product Description:

a) Media:

Fiberglass - media pads are constructed of continuous filament fiberglass pads, with a skin on both the air entering and air leaving sides. The ˝” and 1” pads are white in color and the 2” pads are white on the air entering side and tinted blue on the air leaving side.

b) Media Support

Industrial Panel Filters are available with either no retainer, 1-sided retainer or 2-sided retainer. The retainer material is made of flattened, expanded metal with a hot dipped galvanized coating. A bottlecap retainer may be substitued for the expanded metal retainer.

c) Filter Strip:

The filter frames consist of a 1-piece, moisture resistant chipboard material, kraft colored. The frames are formed in a U-channel configuration and bonded with hot melt adhesive to the media pad/retainer around the entire perimeter of both sides of the filter.

d) Filter Label:

A label, containing the appropriate product information, is applied to all filters. There are no preprinted graphics on the filter frame.

5. Packaging: Industrial Panel Filters are packaged in a heavy duty corrugated fiberboard box.

6. Application Guide:

Used for general air filtration in all types of air conditioning, heating and ventilating systems. Also used in fan coil units, unit ventilators, and as prefilters to higher efficiency filters. The no-retainer model is recommended for light to moderate airflow and dirt loading conditions. The single retainer model can handle higher airflow and more turbulent conditions, while the double sided retainer filter is for the most demanding panel filter applications.
